About

Dr. Dintu K P joined Fatima Mata National College (Autonomous), Kollam on 21st January 2021 as Assistant Professor. He has seven years of Research and three years of teaching experience in both basic and applied plant science. Prior to working college, he is worked for over seven years as Assistant Manager at Rehabilitation Plantations Ltd, Labour and Skills Department, Govt. of Kerala. He has completed his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (JNTBGRI), Palode, Thiruvananthapuram. His area of specializations includes Plant Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Ethnopharmacology. He has published more than 10 scientific papers in National and International peer reviewed Journals and Book chapters. He has obtained a patent design in “Plant monitoring pot using nanotechnology”. He has been awarded 'Indian Forester Prize' in 2015. He is a life member of various professional societies like Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT), Kerala Academy of Sciences (KAS) etc.
